For my head piece I plan on incorporating nature and its preservation in a wall hanging. For one of my fantastic four pieces I used solar powered photography and would like to use it again. Each photograph would be of leaves, but the image would be more and more faded with each photo. These would then be hung on a branch at different heights. For my heart piece, I plan to continue with collaging nature. I want this in some way to be a book. I am considering using a national geographic magazine and making collages throughout the pages. The pages I do not use I could just glue together. I also am debating making my own book, sewing the pages together to make the spine, and each page being a collage.

I am overall very happy with my final product. Throughout this entire process I faced a few challenges, both about narrowing down ideas and logistical. I am glad I settled on the idea I did, as I believe it to be the most my style. I am also very grateful for the solution I was able to find for attaching the ends of the hair on the birds. This was one of the logistical issues I had to face, as I really really did not want to twist the wire ends. I wanted the birds to be somewhat seamless, and I think I was able to achieve that. I think I am happiest with hoe the bird with the tissue paper turned out. I feel like it was an effective and subtle way to incorporate an element of collage, while also bringing in color. Overall, I enjoyed the challenge of creating a sculpture, and hope to keep exploring with 3 dimensional works of art!
For my oil painting I decided to paint lemons, mainly because I wanted to be bale to us the color yellow. I planned out eventually using yellow, the reddish orange of the background, and a teal. This is one of my favorite color combinations. Here is my oil painting in the brunaille stage. I am actually pleased with how this turned out. I think the values could have a little more contrast between them, but I always have a difficult time committing to dark darks and light lights. Next, I began to add the grisaille. I found this step a little more challenging just because I thought it was more difficult to blend and did not know exactly what colors to use. Clearly, this step is not complete, but I am happy with how the box is coming along.
